APSA established several sub-committees which gather and develop knowledge on sustainable agricultural practices in their respective areas and later share the gained knowledge with farmers and other food-chain actors. In order to contribute to the implementation of sustainable agricultural practices in the mentioned areas in Armenia, the sub-committees design and implement pilot projects, develop country specific guidelines for sustainable agricultural practices, conduct research and cost-benefit analysis, organize sustainability roundtables, seminars and conferences, conduct awareness raising campaigns on sustainable agricultural development.
The goal of the APSA sub-committees is to support farmers in close cooperation with food chain stakeholders, researchers and academia to localize and adapt the best sustainable agricultural practices as well as to contribute to the creation of new sustainable agricultural practices suitable for Armenian agriculture from scratch.
